Senior Compositor (Animation)
Fin Design + Effects is seeking an experienced Entry Senior Compositor to join our growing team.
Working on high-end VFX productions, you will be responsible for creating exceptional final imagery by combining and manipulating 2D and 3D computer-generated elements into visually compelling animated sequences.
This role is ideal for an artist who enjoys both the creative and technical aspects of image creation and visual storytelling, while collaborating with a talented team of Compositing Artists, Animators, Lighting Artists, FX Artists and Supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality final shots through the integration and manipulation of 2D and 3D computer graphics.
- Composite rendered CG passes, effects simulations, matte paintings, and digital environments into finished sequences.
- Perform advanced image enhancement, relighting, colour correction, and visual integration tasks.
- Collaborate closely with Compositing, Animation, Lighting, FX, Assets and Editorial departments.
- Ensure visual consistency across sequences and productions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and artistic challenges.
- Mentor jrs and mid-level compositors.
- Contribute to workflow and pipeline improvements.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years professional compositing experience.
- Advanced Nuke skills.
- Strong understanding of image manipulation, digital graphics, colour workflows and visual storytelling.
- Experience integrating 2D and 3D computer-generated imagery.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality animation or VFX compositing work.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Melbourne VIC
