The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on
supporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can; whether through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact with
communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and
wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It’s all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.

About the role:

As a key member of the Creative and Social Media Team, the Video Producer will create and develop high quality digital content (video, photography, and social media content) for customer stories, internal communications, external promotional social videos, marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training, and other department-wide projects.
They are responsible for ensuring all creative content is clear, engaging, and timely, and aligned to the department's digital strategy and strategic plan.
They deliver multiple priority projects concurrently, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to support delivery of wider communications and stakeholder engagement objectives.
As appropriate, they may also be required to provide surge support to ensure effective media and communications services can be delivered by the Branch during emergency, crisis, and peak periods.

About you:

Plan and produce the department's video and photographic projects and ensure they are in line with the Department of Health strategies.
Scope, plan, develop and manage production of departmental digital media outputs, including video, graphics and photography, undertaking local and regional travel as required.
Assist in the creation and refinement of scripts, project concepts, and other materials.
Edit, write and develop engaging video content for use across department social media and digital channels in accordance with the content strategy and editorial plan.
Draft and develop material including the preparation of Cabinet and Cabinet related material, Ministerial and Secretary briefings and meeting papers, agendas, minutes and reports.

Qualifications/Specialist expertise:

A tertiary qualification in fields related to digital media, communications or associated disciplines would be advantageous.
A full driver's licence may be required.
Demonstrated experience in creating and developing high quality content (video and photography).
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a high-performing video and creative team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant government legislation and experience in a digital media role would be expected.
