Senior Baker / Pastry Chef

Butter Days Bakery has quickly become a favourite local bakery on Glenferrie Road. Over the past year we've built a loyal community of customers who line up for our pastries, breads, cakes and savoury offerings, and we're now looking for an experienced baker or pastry chef to join our growing team.

Founded by husband-and-wife team John and Martina Demetrios, Butter Days is a hands-on, quality-focused bakery where everything is made with care. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to the continued growth of an independent business.

This is a senior role suited to someone with strong production experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar environment. You'll work closely with ownership and the wider kitchen team to maintain quality, improve systems, and help execute our daily range.

What we're looking for:

Proven experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen or production environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take ownership of your section
A genuine passion for baking, pastry and quality ingredients
Positive attitude and willingness to mentor junior team members
Reliability and consistency in a fast-paced environment
