Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Management Office, the Project Manager leads the delivery of individual projects that advance organisational priorities. This role is responsible for managing project plans, budgets, timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communication to ensure successful and efficient delivery. The Project Manager supports cross-functional coordination, carries out administrative requirements, monitors risks and promotes the use of standard project management practices and tools.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
PMO and Project Execution
- Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget execution
- Complete administrative tasks that allow the project to move forward, as needed
- Facilitate reviews to monitor scope, schedule, and quality; ensure alignment across contributors
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions; escalate as appropriate
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and produce accurate forecasts
- Identify financial risks or variances and coordinate resolution with leadership
Procurement and Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement and vendor management, including POs, sub-awards, and vendor performance in support of project goals
Risk & Issue Mitigation
- Identify, log, and monitor risks and issues
- Lead mitigation activities using PMO processes
Change Management
- Implement change control processes; assess impacts and obtain required approvals
- Maintain updated baselines and communicate changes to stakeholders
Resourcing
- Assess resourcing needs and coordinate assignments with functional leads
- Monitor workload balance and flag gaps or constraints
Team Leadership
- Foster accountability and collaborative problem-solving
Role Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical:
- Demonstrated ability to define and manage project scope aligned to goals and organisational priorities
- Ability to develop detailed project plans and manage dependencies across the project lifecycle
- Working knowledge of project financials, including budget tracking, cost management, and margin awareness
- Ability to identify risks and support tradeoff decisions to maintain project progress
- Working knowledge of contract requirements and governance processes to support compliance
- Ability to coordinate resources and support effective utilisation through changes in project scope, timeline or approach
- Ability to monitor project performance and report on key metrics
Professional:
- Strong communication skills and ability to build alignment across stakeholders
- Demonstrated skill in coordinating team members and tracking execution of deliverables
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes within project work
- Sound judgment in day-to-day decisions with appropriate guidance and escalation

Position Qualifications:
Required
- Tertiary qualification in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a project management role
- Experience using standard project management tools, templates and technology
Preferred
- CAPM or similar project management certification
- Experience in:
- Professional services environment
- Working remotely within a global organisation
- Familiarity with quality improvement principles, methodologies and best practice (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, IHI-specific approaches, etc.)
- High level of knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system in Australia and/or New Zealand
This is a remote role that requires some domestic and international travel. The role works with geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones.

- Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods
- Hearing and Speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls
- Environment Setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings
- Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 10 kg as needed
