We're expanding and looking for experienced Principal Underground Mining Consultants to join our Underground team at one of our Australian offices located in Perth and Melbourne.

About the Role:
Every day brings new challenges as you manage projects across various commodities, geographies, and clients—from emerging miners to major industry players. As a Principal Underground Mining Consultant, you'll deliver top-tier consulting services, collaborate with international experts, and lead teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, within budget, and on schedule.
This role is based from either our Perth or Melbourne offices. Ad-hoc travel to sites is a requirement of this role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide expert technical advice and oversight
- Conduct mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
- Author and peer-review technical reports
- Mentor staff and oversee project contractors
- Drive business improvements and support business development activities
- Prepare proposals and contracts
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 12+ years of underground mining experience.
- Proficiency in Mine Planning software (Deswik preferred)
- Experience in managing technical projects and stakeholders to deliver projects
- Ability to work independently or within teams
- Strong financial management skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Consulting experience is highly regarded!
