Finance Transformation SME

Large-scale Oracle Fusion ERP transformation program
18 Month Ficed-Term Contract
Melbourne CBD location with highly flexible hybrid working model

About the Role

Kinetic is in the middle of a major finance transformation: replacing multiple legacy accounting systems with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP across Australia and New Zealand, while simultaneously implementing a new Asset Management System (Hexagon) and EPM platform (Oracle EPBCS/FCCS).

This role exists to extend the capacity of the Finance Transformation Lead by taking direct ownership of defined workstreams within the Oracle ERP implementation and broader finance transformation programme. It is a hands-on role that requires someone comfortable moving between design, testing, data quality, process documentation, change management, and stakeholder engagement - often in the same week.

The right person will be equally at home leading a UAT cycle for Order-to-Cash as they are helping an accountant figure out why a reconciliation isn’t reconciling. They will bring structure to ambiguity, hold themselves and others to a high standard, and communicate with clarity across all levels of the organisation. This is not a strategy-only role - it requires someone willing to get into the detail and drive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end Order to Cash workstream within the Oracle Cloud Financials implementation, including Accounts Receivable, billing configuration, and revenue recognition processes
Serve as the primary business-side point of contact for O2C design decisions with the Systems Integrator, challenging where appropriate and escalating to the Finance Transformation Lead
Direct and coordinate data cleansing activities across finance workstreams, ensuring source data is fit for migration into Oracle Cloud
Work with functional leads and the SI to define data validation rules, exception handling, and sign-off protocols
Review and further develop process maps across all finance workstreams (P2P, O2C, R2R, A2R), identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
Support leaders to confidently lead change locally
Support the Finance Transformation Lead in preparing content for ELT presentations, project updates, and broader team communications
Work alongside the Finance Transformation Lead to hold the Systems Integrator accountable for quality and scope, reviewing deliverables with a critical eye

What You Will Bring

Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) or equivalent professional qualification
Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation, or systems-enabled process change within a medium-to-large organisation
Strong working knowledge of core finance processes: Order to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and/or Acquire to Retire
Track record of producing high-quality process documentation, SOPs, or training materials
Comfortable working with data - including data cleansing, validation, and migration activities
Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and connect the dots across workstreams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively from financial accountants through to executive leadership
Comfortable with ambiguity - able to create structure and clarity where the path forward is not yet fully defined
