The Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA), made up of BMD Constructions, CPB Contractors and Arup, is delivering the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The works include new express lanes, upgraded noise walls, and revitalised areas of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.

THE ROLE
Build your career while you earn! We’re offering a unique opportunity for an Assistant Contracts Administrator (Trainee), to join BMD/TSA and gain hands-on experience while studying towards a Certificate IV in Business - all while earning a competitive salary above award rates. This is not a typical trainee role; you’ll be fairly compensated while building your future.
You’ll support the commercial team in delivering one of Victoria’s largest infrastructure projects. You’ll be working alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to contract management, financial processes, and commercial decision-making.
This role combines on-the-job training with formal study, setting you up for a long-term career in the construction industry.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Assist in preparation and administration of contracts and subcontracts
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Reviewing and processing variations, claims, and payments
- Maintaining commercial documentation and records
- Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Learning key commercial, legal, and financial processes within construction
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
This is a traineeship position, to be eligible applicants:
- Must not have previously completed a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Business
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or NZ Citizen
