We are seeking a boilermaker/welder to expand our small team with a view to a genuine long-term full-time position. The successful applicant will be well supported and get to work in a clean workshop.
Qualifications & requirements
- Australian recognised trade certificate
- Sound experience working with FCAW, GMAW, SMAW
- Able to read and interpret workshop and engineering drawings.
- Able to work on their own or as part of a team
- Bodybuilding experience is beneficial.
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
- Working at heights and confined space entry is an advantage.
- Tig & stainless welding experience - desired (not essential)
- D & A screen - Pre-employment declaration
- Boilermaker apprentices in 3rd or 4th years are encouraged to apply
Tasks & responsibilities
- Fabrication and installation of service trucks.
- Fabrication of water trucks and accessories.
- Modification of vehicle chassis.
- General fabrication.
- Structural fabrication.
- Use of modern equipment including press and guillotine.
- Stainless and aluminium welding.
- On-site work whereas required.
