About Role:
As a Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for the installation, testing and maintenance of mechanical equipment and services within Greenslopes Private Hospital.
The Mechanical Fitter role will put you in charge of ensuring that mechanical equipment throughout the hospital is compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, test/approval specifications and codes of safe practice as described by the relevant regulatory authorities.
About You:
To be successful in your application for this position, it is essential that you bring a history of excellent time management skills, the ability to effectively plan and coordinate your workload, proved ability to work both in team and independent environments when required, and be willing to learn the special requirements of working in a hospital environment.
You will have the following:
Boiler experience advantageous
Experience welding stainless steel
Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Boiler Maker, Fitter and Turner or Plumber
Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulations
Ability to plan and effectively execute workload on day to day basis.
Desirable:
Knowledge/experience of similar systems and equipment used on hospital sites
Knowledge/experience of steam or boiler equipment and systems
Good communication skills and manner to discuss problems and solutions with other disciplines, patients and public

Requirements
