Full Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and approachable manager that has a genuine passion for desserts, food and coffee for Royal Copenhagen Eastern Creek Quarter.

Fun working environment and competitive package for the right candidate who delivers results.

Our Café Dessert bar runs 7 Days a week. 8AM to 10PM Mon – Thurs, 8AM to Mid Night Fri to Sat and 1AM to 10PM Sun.

Job Title: Hands-On Ice Cream & Beverage Bar Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: Retail food service, high customer interaction, creative, fast-paced
Expectation: Minimum 95% of shift spent on front-line operations, product creation, and floor management

· The ability to manage a business independently and operate autonomously whilst following the current business strategic plan and identity.

· Barista experience and food management experience.

· The ability to attract, recruit, manage, develop, and coach a strong team to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Innovation & Creativity

Recipe Development: Design and launch creative new ice cream flavors, seasonal desserts, and limited-time beverage specials.
Trend Analysis: Monitor food and dessert trends to keep the menu exciting and competitive.
Costing & Testing: Test new creations for taste, presentation, and profitability before adding them to the menu.

Social Media Marketing

Content Creation: Capture high-quality photos and short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) of desserts and behind-the-scenes action.
Account Management: Run the shop’s social media pages, reply to comments, and engage with the local community online.
Promotions: Launch creative online campaigns and store events to increase foot traffic.

Hands-On Beverage & Dessert Service

Barista Duties: Dial in grinders, texturise milk, and serve high-quality specialty coffee and espresso drinks.
Beverage Prep: Mix signature milkshakes, smoothies, mocktails, and iced drinks quickly and accurately.
Dessert Assembly: Lead by example by scooping ice cream, assembling complex sundaes, and prepping toppings during rushes.

Daily Operations & Staff Management

Floor Leadership: Work alongside staff on the register, espresso machine, and scoop station to maintain fast service.
Training & Coaching: Train staff on consistent barista techniques, portion control, and food safety standards.
Scheduling: Create weekly rosters optimized for peak traffic times and content creation windows.
Inventory Control: Track stock levels for coffee beans, ice cream bases, toppings, and packaging, ordering from suppliers as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of retail food management, with proven experience as a barista and content creator.
Technical Skills: Strong espresso extraction skills, milk texturing abilities, and basic smartphone video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, etc.).
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts (up to 8 hours) and lift heavy items like milk crates or ice cream tubs (up to 20kg).
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, evening shifts, and public holidays.
Certifications: Current food safety supervisor certificate or local equivalent.
