About the Role
We're excited to offer an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team.
Based in our Kingsford or Adelaide office (whichever suits you best), you'll support the Finance function through a combination of accounting, taxation, compliance and reporting activities.
Working closely with the Executive General Manager – Finance and the wider Finance team, you'll assist with statutory compliance requirements including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other regulatory obligations, while also contributing to month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial governance activities.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to further develop their career in finance while gaining valuable exposure to taxation and compliance within a large and diverse organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support taxation and compliance activities including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and regulatory lodgements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.
Provide backup support across the Finance team as required

What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar finance role.
- Exposure to BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax or other compliance reporting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and proficiency in Excel.
Experience with Pronto ERP (desirable).
