We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Engineer / Mechanic to support the ongoing operation of our lemon myrtle farm. This role is critical to keeping farm infrastructure, machinery, and processing equipment running efficiently and safely. You’ll be a practical problem-solver who can diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and help prevent breakdowns before they happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults across farm and processing equipment
- Maintain, service, and troubleshoot pumps, motors, and related systems
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on farm machinery and infrastructure
- Install, repair, and modify mechanical and electrical equipment as required
- Identify potential issues and recommend improvements to improve reliability and efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report recurring faults
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards
- Support general farm operations when required
Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on engineering or mechanical background
- Proven ability to diagnose electrical issues (fault finding essential)
- Solid knowledge of pumps, motors, and mechanical systems
- Practical, solution-focused approach to maintenance and repairs
- Comfortable working independently in a farm / rural environment
- Experience in agricultural, industrial, or processing environments preferred

Key Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in an engineering or mechanical role
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical faults (controls, motors, pumps, wiring)
- Strong working knowledge of pumps, motors, irrigation systems, and mechanical equipment
- Proven hands on maintenance experience (agricultural, industrial, or processing environments preferred)
- Ability to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Competent with basic tools, testing equipment, and fault-finding methods
