Not-for-profit student exchange organisation, WEP Australia, is looking for a local coordinator in the Mareeba/Cairns area! The role is voluntary but WEP offers amazing bonuses and a paid reimbursement scheme.
With support from WEP, coordinators support local families and their exchange student during their program.
This role is perfect if you’re looking to earn some extra money around your current schedule, build your resume, and have fun while being part of an international network.
WEP coordinators are an invaluable and a highly appreciated part of the student exchange experience. Their role is multifaceted and includes:
- Providing local support to host families and exchange students
- Monitoring student adjustment and assimilation into their Australian families and schools
- Interviewing host families
- Interviewing outbound students
- Helping with recruitment of host families
- Helping out at airports around Australia, assisting outbound students with check-in procedures or meeting inbound students and helping them with domestic transfers
Although a volunteer role, WEP coordinators are reimbursed for expenses and enjoy generous bonuses for finding host families and submitting reports on time. Importantly, coordinators enjoy the opportunity to share the experiences of exchange students and their generous, warm-hearted, volunteer host families.
