Location: Sydney CBD with hybrid and flexible working options.

Salary Range: Up to $108,374. Package includes salary ($87,199 - $95,48, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
About the NSW Ombudsman

The Role
The People & Culture (P&C) Officer supports and contributes to a range of high quality HR services, projects and initiatives that build and sustain leadership, workforce capability, compliance and workplace culture enabling NSW Ombudsman to deliver its strategic priorities.
About you
We are looking for someone with/who

Is highly organised and can take ownership of managing a shared team inbox, including using good judgement to triage queries and emails accordingly to ensure they are responded to in a timely manner.

Has a willingness to learn and can work collaboratively and communicates professionally within the team and across other internal and external stakeholders.

Has good time management skills and willingness to think outside the box to contribute to process improvements.

Demonstrated experience in interpreting, understanding and applying relevant NSW Public Sector legislation, in particular the Government Sector Employment Act, Regulation and Rules.

Whilst not essential, the following attributes will be highly regarded: Qualification in HR or associated discipline or relevant experience.
