Maitland Indoor Sports Centre is looking for a reliable, confident Soccer Ref or Netball Umpire to assist in keeping our indoor soccer / netball competitions running smoothly.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our busy indoor sports centre, helping ensure games run on time and players enjoy a safe, fair, and friendly sporting experience.
Your duties will include:
- Game Coordination: Monitoring games, marking players off game sheets, liasing with Referees and Umpires, assigning bibs, and distributing sports equipment.
- Customer Service: Handling payments, canteen sales, and responding to player enquiries.
- Centre Standards: Maintaining cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility.
- Code of Conduct: Monitoring player behaviour and ensuring our rules are followed.
- Problem Solving: Handling player or team issues and managing difficult conversations with confidence and fairness.
About You
We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, confident, and enjoys working with people in a lively sporting environment.
You’ll need:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident, calm approach when dealing with challenging situations
- Proven reliability and initiative in customer service or sporting roles
- A genuine interest in indoor sport and community recreation
- Availability for Tuesday shifts
