The opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Human Resources (HR) professional, to join our People and Culture team, partnering with our leaders across PSC to provide expert strategic advice and helping to support our values-led approach.
The opportunity is a true a partnership role, requiring the high level of interpersonal skills, an ability to influence and coach, and strong professional integrity. With well-rounded experience in Human Resources, and working knowledge of industrial instruments, you will contribute the enablement of success within our people strategies and overall organisational effectiveness.
Reporting directly to our People and Culture Manager, you will make up one of two HR Business Partners within the team, with one HR Advisor as your direct report, allowing you to take on a mentorship role whilst having a strong focus on EA/award interpretation, complex employee matters, HR projects, performance management and workplace change. Our HR Business Partners take a leading role in providing support to our Senior Leaders within Council regarding undertaking Service Reviews and Structural Reviews on a cyclical basis.
PSC is home to over 60 different business units, with our HR Business Partners taking on a split of the organisation. This position has a focus on a wide range of business units some including as Assets, Development Services and Community Services.

- This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 35 hours / week + access to flexible working arrangements
- Base Salary Range (based on FY25/26 rates): $93,424 - $113,800 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $11,211 car allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- A degree qualification with several years experience in Human Resource Management
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation/policy and translate this into practical solutions
- Demonstrated organisational skills and capacity to act independently when managing workplace projects that involve a number of stakeholders
- Understanding of working in an environment with a diverse workforce with complex industrial relations matters
- A sound understanding of organisation development practices and approaches, and the ability to contribute to culture change
