PRIVATE CHEF - SAPPHIRE RECOVERY

Full Time | 5 Days Per Week

At Sapphire Recovery, we believe healing extends beyond therapy alone. Nutrition, routine, environment, and the experience of feeling cared for all play an important role in supporting overall wellbeing.

We are seeking a passionate and grounded Private Chef to join the Sapphire Recovery team full time, preparing fresh, nourishing meals for our house guests within a calm, boutique recovery environment.

This role is about far more than cooking. It is about creating consistency, comfort, and a positive daily experience through food.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Private Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering healthy, balanced meals throughout the day for guests within the residence.

Meals will primarily be prepared onsite at our Reedy Creek, QLD location, with travel required between Sapphire Recovery residences to deliver prepared meals and support both locations where needed.

This includes:

Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Healthy snacks and light refreshments
Meal preparation and kitchen organisation
Grocery planning and ordering
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards

The successful applicant will create meals that are nutritious, comforting, and aligned with the holistic values of Sapphire Recovery - focusing on fresh ingredients, balance, routine, and wellbeing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and prepare daily meals for house guests and staff
Design rotating menus that are healthy, flavourful, and budget-conscious
Cater to dietary requirements and nutritional needs where required
Manage food purchasing, stock rotation, and kitchen inventory
Work within allocated food budgets and support overall kitchen profitability and cost management
Maintain strong awareness of food costings, portion control, and minimising waste
Ensure the kitchen remains organised, hygienic, and compliant with food safety standards
Travel between Sapphire Recovery locations to deliver prepared meals
Create a calm, welcoming kitchen environment within the house
Occasionally contribute to wellness-focused content or cooking segments for Sapphire Recovery media platforms

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about food, nutrition, and wellbeing
Calm, grounded, and emotionally intelligent
Experienced in preparing healthy, home-style meals at volume
Able to manage budgets, food costings, and kitchen operations effectively
Organised, proactive, and self-motivated
Comfortable working within a recovery and wellness environment
Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
In possession of a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for travel between locations

Experience within private dining, retreats, wellness spaces, hospitality, or residential care environments will be highly regarded.
