The opportunity
NEPEAN Belting is looking for an experienced Belt Splicer to join our growing Mackay team. Based at Slade Point, this role involves working both in our branch and across mine sites delivering high-quality conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance.
What You’ll Be Doing

Conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance

Working across workshop and mine site environments
-
Conducting belt and conveyor system inspections

Supporting breakdown and scheduled maintenance work

Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to high quality standards

Completing job documentation and site paperwork

Assisting in mentoring apprentices and junior splicers
What We’re Looking For
-
Cert II in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing) minimum
- Level 3 Belt Splicer highly regarded
- Supervisor experience advantageous
- Experience with conveyor systems and belt maintenance
- Underground coal mine experience preferred
- Current Driver’s Licence (MR preferred)
- Working at Heights ticket (Desirable)
