- Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in ICT support ¿ Windows and Apple devices, Microsoft 365, printing and basic networking ¿ in a school or comparable environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support and administer school management/communication platforms such as Compass, including account management, parent teacher interviews and first-level troubleshooting.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, patient support to staff and students of varying technical ability and to work effectively within a small team.

The Level 1 IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for day-to-day technical support across the College, keeping staff and student devices, software and school platforms running reliably. Working within the College's ICT team, the technician logs, triages and resolves routine support requests, and escalates more complex or infrastructure-level issues to the College's specialist ICT technician.
- Log, triage, and resolve day-to-day ICT support requests from staff and students; escalate complex or infrastructure issues as required.
- Provide first-level support and administration for Compass and other school platforms ¿ account setup, parent teacher interviews, staff/parent/student portal queries and basic configuration.
- Provide support with printers and photocopiers
- Set up, image, deploy and maintain staff and student devices using Intune (Windows and, where applicable, Apple), including BYOD support.
- Support Microsoft 365 accounts and passwords, printing (PaperCut), classroom AV/projectors, library system (Oliver) and general peripheral issues.
- Assist with user-level network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate asset and support records in the College's ticketing/asset systems.
- Contribute to a positive, service-oriented, and child-safe ICT team.
- Coordination of warranty/insurance repairs for staff and students
- Coordination of Teacher Notebook Program
- Undertake other duties relevant to the classification level as requested by the Principal / Assistant Principal / Business Manager / Specialist ICT technician

Gisborne Secondary College is a large, stand alone, Year 7-12 College with an enrolment of approximately 1000 students. Our large catchment area covers the Macedon Ranges, north-west of Melbourne. Over 70% of our students travel to school by bus and the College is an important social focal point for students from different towns of the region.
Our school has an incredibly strong pathways and transition program, supporting close to 70 VCE and VCE VM units of study each year.
