Full Job Description

Sniffers Group is expanding our team and looking for an experienced Drainer/Pipelayer to join our civil construction crew. If you take pride in quality and workmanship and enjoy working outdoors in a solid team, this role is for you.

Tasks includes:

· Install, maintain and design below-ground drainage systems. This includes sewers, drainage and/ or stormwater.

Studies drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems and materials required
Installs sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems
Installs below-ground drainage systems, including pipes, fittings and fixtures
Tests, maintains and repairs drainage systems to ensure proper functioning, and clears blockages if required
Conducts inspections and maintenance of sewerage or effluent disposal systems
Set out trenches and prepare bedding
Operate hand tools and small plant
Work alongside excavator operators and civil crews

Skills and experience

Experience as a Drainer in sewage, stormwater and effluent
Follow Work, Health and Safety procedures and maintain a safe site
Ability to read levels and follow plans
Strong understanding of trench safety
Reliable, punctual and team focused
