Permanent full-time role based at our Beenleigh office

Kanda Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking a motivated Property Officer to join our team full-time in Beenleigh. This role is integral to ensuring our residential properties and assets are maintained to a high standard, providing safe and welcoming homes for children and young people in statutory care.

As a Property Officer, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 10–30 properties, working collaboratively with a geographically dispersed property team and internal stakeholders. While previous experience in property management or real estate is highly regarded, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct entry, routine and exit property inspections, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard
Coordinate responsive maintenance and repair works, following through to completion
Source and onboard suitable new properties to support portfolio growth
Coordinate property setups and vacates, including utilities, services, property preparation and handovers
Ensure properties remain compliant with tenancy legislation, safety requirements and organisational standards
Liaise with suppliers, contractors, service delivery & other stakeholders
Maintain accurate property documentation, records and asset registers

About You

Experience in property management, building or maintenance, ideally within community housing is highly regarded
Strong administrative and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Current Driver's Licence
Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), Licensed Care Services approval (LCS2) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
