Full Job Description

We are hiring for a Team Leader and Baristas at Lismore!!!

What being a Team Leader is all about:

In charge of the store when the Store Manager is not present.
Supervising both front and back of house operations.
Lead a team to serve customers in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner, role modelling service superstardom!
Involved in merchandising and stock rotation.
Banking and Cash handing activities.
Training team members in store processes and procedures.
Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards.
Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Cafe Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees.
Responsibility for food safety for both stores.

What being a Barista is all about:

Preparing coffee orders in line with customer requests.
Restocking supplies and ensuring the front-of-house is always well presented.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the café.
Handling both cash and card payments efficiently.
You may be required to help with other general duties in the cafe

What our Stores would love to see:

Experience supervising in a food environment. (Team Leader only)
Ability to lead and motivate a team whilst getting stuck in. (Team Leader only)
Understanding of till reconciliation and cash handling. (Team Leader only)
Knowledge in fast paced retail/cafe operations with a focus on quality service.
Warm, friendly, and outgoing personality.
Flexibility with work hours across a 7 day roster.
Great communication skills.
Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
The desire to build your career.
Prior barista skills are key.
Knowledge around food handling and safety (Food Safety Certificate is ideal but not essential).
A passion for coffee!
