About Us

Located in the heart of Camden, we are a local institution famous for one thing above all else: our signature, house-made gourmet pies, sausage rolls, and artisan pastries. We run a clean, modern, and structured production kitchen where craft matters, quality is never compromised, and trade skills are genuinely respected.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Pie Maker / Savoury Pastry Cook to take true ownership of our high-volume savoury baking section. This isn't just assembly work — you'll be working with scratch-made fillings, precision pastry doughs, and managing the daily bake to keep our bustling display cabinets fully stocked with Camden’s favourite pies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Scratch Production: Prepare, fill, and bake our core line of gourmet pies, sausage rolls, quiches, and seasonal savoury pastries.
Dough & Lamination: Handle shortcrust and puff pastry doughs, ensuring perfect consistency, rise, and golden flake every time.
Section Management: Run an efficient early-morning bake schedule, maintain recipe consistency, and control waste.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Keep a spotless, highly organised baking station and adhere to strict food safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience specifically in pie making, commercial baking, or commercial pastry production (essential).
Technical Skill: Solid understanding of pastry lamination, dough consistency, and commercial oven management.
Availability: Must be reliable and available for early morning starts (e.g., 4:00 AM) including weekend shifts.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift heavy bags of ingredients (up to 25kg) as required in a production kitchen.
Working Rights: Must hold valid, unrestricted Australian working rights (Evidence required).
