Location: 23-25 Chelmsford place, Leeton NSW 2705

Department: Operations

Compensation: Weekly AUD $1,296.50 - $1,452.20

Employment type: Contract/Temp

Work Arrangement: On-site

Leeton Shire Council are seeking applications from self-motivated and suitably qualified persons to fill this 10-month maternity relief position of Business Support Officer, Operations.

The position is full-time temporary – 70 hours per fortnight with a monthly rostered day off.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide efficient and effective administrative and customer services support for the Director and operations department staff.

Please refer to the Operations Section of the attached Position Description for details of the duties involved.

The successful applicant will be a customer focused person with excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to relate well with the general public and fellow employees and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. They will have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other computer applications in a Windows environment.

Qualifications in Office Administration with at least four year’s relevant work experience and the ability to work as part of a team is essential. A Class C drivers’ licence is also required.

Salary and conditions: The position is Grade 9 in Council's salary system with the hourly rate between $37.04 to $41.49 (depending on qualifications and experience) plus 12% superannuation.

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Functional Assessment which includes an alcohol and other drug screening.
