Full Job Description

Sports Garden Hotel & Northern Public House are seeking a full time cook to add to our kitchen team.

This is a great opportunity to become a member of a busy and experienced BOH team. Both venues are located in the CBD and are trading well. We have some busy months ahead with events in Launceston picking up over the next few weeks.

We are looking for cooks to join the team on full time. Please outline your experience in a cover letter when you apply.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard
Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Support stock control and minimise food waste
Collaborate with front and back of house teams

What We’re Looking For

Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
2 years experience in a similar position
A passion for producing quality food
Experience in functions an advantage
Great communication & people management skills
Calm and measured under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Available to work weekends
Reliable and punctual
