POSITION: Glazier

REPORTS TO: Operations/Site Supervisor

SALARY: $79,515 - $85,000

Acero Construction Acero Construction operates as a vertically integrated building, construction and manufacturing business. We operate in the residential, commercial and modular building arena. Through various acquisitions and business extensions, the current structure now operates as a diversified and vertically integrated construction, manufacturing and building company. Acero Construction therefore requires qualified and experienced GLAZIER(s) as part of its operations and construction team.

The Glazier will play a crucial role in our construction projects by ensuring high-quality glass installations in both residential and commercial settings. This position requires technical expertise, an understanding of safety standards, and the ability to deliver custom glazing solutions.

The role requires the ability to work in regional and remote environments and handle complex glazing tasks for large commercial projects, modern architectural designs, and modular construction units.

JOB SUMMARY

a. More than 2 years of relevant work experience

b. Expected salary: $79,515 - $85,000 per year

c. Permanent - Full time hours;

d. Looking for candidates who are available to work construction industry hours;

e. Working rights required for this role.

JOB LOCATION:

Based out of Jandakot WA 6164 | Western Australia

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

a. Cut and shape glass to specified sizes for windows, doors, skylights, and other installations.

b. Install glass and mirrors in various settings, including windows, display cases, interior walls, ceilings, and modular units.

c. Prepare installation sites by securing frames and structural supports, followed by sealing glass for durability and environmental protection.

d. Work with modular construction companies to install glass in prefabricated structures using specialized techniques.

e. Provide custom glass and mirror solutions tailored to the unique needs of residential and commercial clients, ensuring energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetic appeal.

f. Ability to operate EWP machinery and tools safely and ability to read Façade shop drawings and construction plans

g. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety and maintaining a clean and organised work environment

h. Collaborating with the Operations team to resolve any technical issues

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

a. At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field is mandatory

b. Has a valid WA Motor Driver License (preferred)

d. Willing to do shift works on weekdays and work on weekends including Public Holidays and possible Sundays;

f. Ability to understand technical drawings and plans

g. Ability to calculate quantities, areas, volumes, etc necessary for specified roofs from plans and blueprints;

h. Have a careful, methodical and accurate approach to work;

i. Problem solving skills and enjoy practical work;

j. Work as a team or independently;

k. Have a reasonable level of physical fitness.
