About the role
Subway Tatura is looking for an experienced Retail Manager to join their team in Tatura Victoria. This role will suit a professional, highly motivated, operations-focused applicant who has had previous Management experience and is flexible to work in different situations. The individual will be focused on the delivery of Subway Standards, can motivate a team & maintain the KPIs set by HQ.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 plus guaranteed superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organise and supervise daily store operations by monitoring staffing levels, allocating duties across shifts, and ensuring smooth workflow to maintain Subway’s operational and customer service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales trends and stock movement to coordinate timely ordering and replenishment of ingredients, packaging materials and store supplies to maintain uninterrupted product availability.
- Analyse customer preferences, seasonal demand and sales performance to support planning and promotion of Subway menu items including subs, wraps, salads, breakfast products, cookies and toasties.
- Develop and implement local marketing and promotional activities, including in-store displays, combo offers, limited-time promotions and community-based campaigns to increase customer engagement and store revenue.
- Review sales reports, transaction records and item turnover data to identify business growth opportunities, improve ordering strategies and support operational decision-making.
- Provide high-level customer service by responding to customer enquiries, resolving complaints promptly and ensuring customers receive accurate product information and assistance.
- Recruit, onboard, train and supervise team members while monitoring staff performance, providing coaching and conducting regular feedback sessions to maintain productivity and service quality.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters, approve timesheets and assist with payroll-related processes to ensure appropriate workforce coverage and compliance with operational requirements.
- Monitor store budgets, control operational expenses and evaluate cost-saving opportunities to support profitability and efficient allocation of business resources.
- Maintain accurate inventory and operational records, including stock usage, supplier orders, financial transactions and workplace documentation to support reporting and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and franchise representatives to maintain consistent stock availability, monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with Subway brand and operational standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, equipment and workplace facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, workplace health and safety procedures, and general store cleanliness.
Skills, experience and education required
· Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration or related field.
· Minimum 1 year full-time relevant experience as a Retail Supervisor or Retail Manager.
· Strong leadership and staff management skills.
· Inventory and purchasing management experience.
· Financial and sales reporting capability.
· Customer service excellence.
· Knowledge of food safety and WHS compliance.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
