MCM Auto Electrics is currently looking for a full time Parts Workshop Person to join
our team.
MCM Auto Electrics specialises in electrical, air-conditioning repairs, and
installations of electrical components and systems. Works with numerous industries
including Mining, Construction, Marine Systems and Controls including HVAC
systems.
The Role:
- Sourcing and ordering parts for workshop and field technicians.
- Interpreting and organising customer’s parts order requirements.
- Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock.
- Managing inventory and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Organisation of parts in the workshop.
- Assisting technicians with parts enquiries.
- Preparing parts for scheduled jobs and breakdowns & input the parts on to job files on drive.
- Packing parts and organising freight occasionally.
- Pickups/deliveries
- Breaking down/disposing of unused cartons and rubbish removal.
- Use tools and equipment to perform tasks when required.
- Maintain a clean and organised parts department and workshop.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or Parts Person (preferred).
- Knowledge of the automotive, heavy vehicle or mining equipment parts industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
- Experience in Myob (preferred but not essential.)
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Experience with auto electrical components, air conditioning systems or mining equipment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
