We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and oversee the day-to-day operation of an award-winning burger and live music venue on the Gold Coast.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in running an organised and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a kitchen team of approximately 5 staff
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen efficiency
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Train, support, and roster kitchen staff
- Work closely with management to maintain smooth venue operations
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal updates where required
About You
- Previous experience in a senior chef or kitchen management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail
- Experience with stock ordering and cost control
- Understanding of food safety and WHS requirements
- Positive attitude and team-focused approach

Pay: $75,722.93 – $85,818.65 per year
