You will support the team to meet risk management responsibilities under Council’s
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Procedure by identifying and reporting
potential issues in a timely manner.
COMMUNICATION
This position requires regular communication with internal and external customers to
ensure operational service requests are managed in a timely and effective manner. The
ability to understand customer needs and coordinate information, resources and service
requirements across operational teams is essential.
JUDGEMENT & PROBLEM SOLVING
Sound judgement is essential to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to
support service delivery. The role requires problem-solving to respond to operational
issues, prioritise competing demands and address urgent service requirements across
teams.
AUTHORITY
- Authorised to raise purchase orders through Council’s requisition system.
- Apply sound judgement to analyse information and select appropriate solutions from
available options.
- Make informed decisions based on analysis of information, contributing to
improvements in processes and practices.
- Plan and coordinate day-to-day activities and resources to support timely service
delivery.
- Apply understanding of the operational and business environment to support efficient
service outcomes.
SKILL, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL
• Experience in an administrative or business support role within a complex or multi-
functional environment, with the ability to effectively coordinate tasks and workflows
across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and
external stakeholders, providing responsive and customer-focused service.
- Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, manage competing demands and
meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, processing documentation and updating
corporate systems, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using TechnologyOne, including
Warehouse/Inventory/Purchasing functions, and the ability to effectively utilise
business systems and technology.
- Sound problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgement, respond to
operational issues and address urgent service requirements.
