Pilbara Windscreen Experts Pty Ltd is a specialist automotive glazing business
based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The company provides windscreen
replacement, chip and crack repair, side and rear glass replacement, custom-cut
machinery glass and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) recalibration to
private vehicle owners, fleet operators, mining contractors and resource sector
clients across the region. Services are delivered both from the workshop and through
mobile callouts to remote sites and mining operations throughout the Pilbara,
supporting one of Australia’s most active resource regions.
We are looking for an autoglazier to joint our team.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Inspect damaged windscreens, side glass and rear glass on light vehicles, heavy
commercial vehicles and mining fleet equipment to determine whether chip repair
or full replacement is the appropriate course of action.
Carefully remove broken or damaged glass, along with worn rubber seals,
weather strips and mouldings, from vehicle frames and body mountings.
Prepare bonding surfaces by cleaning frames and pinch welds, removing old
urethane and adhesive residue, and applying primers in accordance with vehicle
manufacturer and adhesive product specifications.
Measure, position and install replacement windscreens, side glass, rear screens
and quarter glass, ensuring correct alignment, watertight sealing and OEM-grade
adhesion.
Carry out chip and crack repairs using resin injection equipment for damage that
does not warrant full glass replacement.
Recalibrate or coordinate recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance System
(ADAS) sensors following windscreen replacement, including lane keep assist,
forward collision warning and rain sensors.
Cut and shape replacement glass to specification for heavy machinery and plant
equipment that cannot easily be moved to the workshop, and install the custom-
cut glass on-site in accordance with manufacturer and site safety requirements.
May travel to client sites, including mine sites and remote Pilbara locations, to
deliver mobile windscreen and glass services on light and heavy fleet vehicles,
and complete relevant job records, warranty documentation and insurance
paperwork.
You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply.
