Chef / Kitchen Team Member – Viet Street
Viet Street is looking for a reliable and hardworking Chef / Kitchen Team Member to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with cooking or kitchen experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in preparing quality food and maintaining an organised kitchen.
About the Role
Your role will mainly involve preparing the store for opening in the mornings and working alongside other kitchen staff throughout the day to ensure smooth kitchen operations and food consistency.
Responsibilities
- Morning kitchen and food preparation before opening
- Preparing meats, vegetables, sauces and other ingredients
- Cooking and assembling Vietnamese food items
- Working alongside the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Helping keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently
- Assisting with stock rotation and kitchen setup/pack down
What We’re Looking For
- Previous chef, cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Experience cooking Vietnamese food is highly preferred
- Understanding of Vietnamese flavours, preparation methods and kitchen workflow is ideal
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work well within a team

Pay: $56,450.07 – $85,413.99 per year
