About Ownit Finance

Ownit Finance is a growing mortgage and finance brokerage specialising in residential and commercial lending solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering tailored lending advice and exceptional customer service while assisting clients through every stage of the finance process.

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Finance Broker to join our team.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for assessing clients' financial circumstances, identifying suitable lending solutions, and managing residential and commercial finance applications from initial enquiry through to settlement.

You will work closely with clients, lenders, solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, builders and real estate agents to ensure finance applications are processed efficiently and in accordance with Australian lending regulations and responsible lending obligations.

Key Responsibilities

· Meet with clients to understand their financial circumstances, lending objectives, and borrowing requirements.

· Assess clients' income, assets, liabilities, expenses, and borrowing capacity.

· Analyse financial documents, including payslips, tax returns, bank statements, loan statements, and supporting evidence.

· Research and compare residential and commercial lending products across a panel of lenders.

· Recommend suitable finance solutions based on clients' financial needs and lender policies.

· Prepare, submit, and manage loan applications through lender portals and CRM systems.

· Liaise with lenders, credit assessors, solicitors, conveyancers, accountants, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout the application process.

· Monitor loan applications, respond to lender requests, and keep clients informed of application progress.

· Coordinate property valuations, loan approvals, settlement requirements, and finance settlements.

· Ensure compliance with responsible lending obligations, privacy legislation, lender requirements, and company policies.

· Maintain accurate client records and loan documentation.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, and referral partners while identifying future lending opportunities.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

Diploma or higher qualification in Finance, Mortgage Broking, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience as a Finance Broker, Mortgage Broker or similar lending position.
Strong understanding of Australian residential and commercial lending.
Experience assessing borrowing capacity and analysing financial information.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.

Desirable

Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
Experience using:
Infynity CRM
ApplyOnline
Mercury Nexus
Other lender submission platforms
Existing lender accreditations will be highly regarded.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $84,000.00 per year
