Full Job Description

Our venue, the Jamieson Brewery & Grill sits on the banks of the famous Goulburn river, and we are loved by both locals and tourists alike for our restaurant, high quality ales, and hospitable country charm. Our restaurant is well-known for our delicious Australian cuisine.

We are urgently seeking an experienced Chef to join our business.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Preparing and cooking contemporary-style dishes in accordance with the menu and recipes.

· Ensuring appropriate presentation and quality of dishes and examining foodstuff to ensure quality

· Portioning and seasoning food and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes,

· Planning and development of menu in collaboration with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager while taking into consideration of factors such as costs and special event needs.

· Demonstrating cooking techniques to kitchen staff as directed by the Head Chef.

· Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations by inspecting all kitchen surfaces to ensure all areas are safe and in accordance with food handling procedures.

For this awesome opportunity you will need:

· Have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a busy restaurant will be highly preferred.

· A trade certificate in commercial cookery and/or hospitality management.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Fantastic communication skills.

· Creative skills to create and suggest new recipes.

· Sound understanding of food safety regulations.
