The Opportunity: Chef

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 days per week is a must
Location: Flinders View
Hours: Up to 38 hours with flexibility
Compensation: Up to $28/hr + super

You will need a Paid Blue Card

Your Responsibilities:
The Chef will prepare the meals for our centres for Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. There’s no need for formal qualifications and all training will be provided but you should be enthusiastic about preparing fresh and wholesome meals for the children in our service. Nutrition is a vital part of children’s development and healthy eating is part of the QCCS philosophy. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab.
The Chef must be passionate about children’s nutrition and have the same ethos and passion to embed and promote this in our centre.
Your role will include:

The preparation of fruits and vegetables for platters
Heating and delivering meals
Ensuring compliance with the centre Food Safety Plan
Must be able to complete dish washing duties efficiently & independently
