About the role
The ACEA program provides in service support, sustainment and upgrades for electronic attack and self-protection systems that protect Australias combat aircraft and aircrew. This capability enhances survivability in contested environments, supports operational readiness, and enables integration with coalition systems and tactics.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the Air Combat Electronic Attack Support Contract (ACEA) Integration Team and help shape the future of our efficiency, improvement, and optimisation program. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering meaningful outcomes that support the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleet.
You will lead the management of a high-impact continuous improvement program, drive innovation and ensure our shared vision for ongoing performance improvement is delivered through a unified management framework.
Working closely with ACEA enterprise partners, you will actively identify, document, track, and deliver efficiencies and improvements across a diverse customer base, helping to strengthen capability and create lasting value.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Lead, develop and coordinate project plans to ensure identified efficiencies and improvements are tracked, reported and realised to enhance operational effectiveness of the Royal Australian Air Force's F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleet.
- Proactively engage with project stakeholders including Customers, Suppliers, Business Leaders and Customers to deliver project commitments across the ACEA enterprise.
- Apply project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes on budget and on plan.
- Prepares and delivers program status reports and coordinates project management meetings and site readiness reviews.
Experience/Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
- Extensive experience in managing complex projects to successful completion
- Previous program integration experience demonstrates your ability to influence and implement changes in an operational sustainment environment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence with customers and at multiple organisational levels.
- Experience with implementation of data analytics and optimisation tools.
- Formal Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management qualifications are desired; however, prior experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted industry project management standards.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo the standard government vetting process (full life background check). BDA will sponsor and support this clearance.
