About the opportunity
As the precast division of Holcim Australia, Humes is where engineering precision meets large-scale manufacturing. By joining our team, you will become part of a national network of factories focussed on delivering engineered solutions that are efficient in design, manufacturing processes and stand the test of time.
We are currently looking for a qualified Electrician for our precast concrete factory located in Ipswich, QLD.
This role involves a mix of technical electrical work, preventative maintenance, and site-wide support. Here is your opportunity to step into a role where you can grow & develop with the world's leading sustainable building materials company.
Roles in pre-cast concrete manufacturing plants are fast-paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process-driven, with a high level of attention to detail.
You would normally start work around 04:30 am and there would be a requirement to work some Saturdays as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
- Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and industrial machinery.
- Assisting contractors and the production team with site-wide maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring all electrical work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Basic administration and logging of maintenance tasks on a variety of computer software applications (training provided).
Key Requirements
- You must hold a current full Electrician's License.
- Minimum of two years' experience post completion of Apprenticeship
- Automation and experience with PLC's and HMI controlled equipment
