About the Role
The Team Leader Water Services is responsible for a variety of tasks within Inverell Shire, including but not limited to:
- Performing and supervising staff in the day to day maintenance and repairs of the water reticulation networks within Inverell, Ashford and Yetman.
- Liaising with our fitters on the maintenance and repair of water infrastructure such as pumps and tanks.
- Inspections of water infrastructure across the Shire, including at our water treatment, storage and distribution assets.
- Participation in an on-call roster on a rotating basis, and occasionally carrying out breakdown repairs while on-call or after hours.
Remuneration shall range from $1,245.19 to $1,339.50 gross per week, inclusive of an Adverse Working Conditions allowance. Overtime and other allowances are payable where applicable.

Examples of qualifications or training that would be advantageous:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, or another relevant trade qualification in conjunction with suitable industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team.
- NSW Class C drivers licence.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
- High Risk Work Licence for Dogging (DG).
- Enter and work in confined spaces unit of competency.
- Liquefied Chlorine Gas Induction training.
- Conduct civil construction excavator operations unit of competency.
- Identify, locate and protect underground services unit of competency.
- Work safely in the vicinity of overhead electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker unit of competency.
- Completion of an approved course for supervisors.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of computer applications including e-mail, Microsoft Office suite, and other work-related devices and systems.
