About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and supportive multidisciplinary team while providing high-quality, person-centred care across both community and inpatient settings.
As a Diabetes Educator, you will provide a comprehensive diabetes management service to people across Inverell and surrounding communities.
You will provide education, support and management for clients living with:
- Type 1 diabetes.
- Type 2 diabetes.
- Diabetes during pregnancy.
The role provides a combination of community-based appointments and inpatient services, giving you the opportunity to develop broad clinical experience while building strong relationships with clients, families and the wider healthcare team.
You will work independently while being supported by the Nurse Unit Manager, Diabetes Educator and wider multidisciplinary team.

You’ll bring:
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
- Diabetes Education qualifications or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong commitment to person and family-centred care.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to culturally respectful care, ongoing learning and evidence-based practice.
- Computer literacy and eligibility to drive in NSW.

- Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position or the agreed duration of your contract. All payments to part-time and contract employees will be made on a pro-rata basis in accordance with the terms of your contract, including any approved extensions.
