- Plan, deliver, and assess training programs across meat processing and feedlot operations
- Coordinate and deliver site inductions, ensuring new employees transition into the business safely and professionally
- Conduct on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job competency assessments in line with industry requirements
- Maintain training records, matrices, and learning systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Partner with supervisors and managers to identify training needs and address capability gaps
- Develop, review, and update work instructions and training materials to ensure currency
- Support operational compliance with quality, safety, HR, and customer standards
- Collaborate with Quality and Safety teams to assess risks and embed safe work instructions
- Monitor training impacts related to equipment, process, or organisational changes
- Prepare training reports and provide insight into training activity and priorities
- Champion effective knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the site
Skills and Experiences:
What you'll need:
- Strong communication skills; confident training a diverse workforce
- Experience as a line leader, leading hand, trainer, or supervisor in an abattoir (any area)
- Exposure to training delivery plus safety and/or QA (quality) requirements
- Capability across the training cycle: plan, deliver, assess, and evaluate training
- Organised and detail‑focused: accurate training records, matrices and systems (LMS/iLeader)
- Feedlot/livestock knowledge (preferred)
This role requires a flexible approach (including start times) and ability to work across Inverell/Myola as needed.
