Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially minded Commercial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at our Indented Head Office in Victoria. This role suits a passionate and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the financial success and strategic direction of the business. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across our commercial operations at Jade Tiger Abalone. This role is available in either a full-time (5 days per week) or part-time (4 days per week) capacity.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and analyse key commercial metrics, including sales performance, profitability, and cost structures.
Work with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and risk management.
Conducts analysis on financial and other performance data against budgets and provides feedback to the CFO and General Manager – JTA.
Collaborate with the sales, marketing, operations and finance teams to ensure alignment on commercial goals for the rendering & protein business unit.
Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams to support business objectives.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure that production planning aligns with financial budgets and forecasts.
Monitor production schedules, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated to meet business demands.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic business decisions.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance related discipline.
5+ years of experience in a commercial, financial, or business management role preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing.
Strong financial acumen with expertise in pricing, profitability analysis, and cost management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
