North Star Motors is a well-established independent European vehicle specialist located in Enoggera, Brisbane. We specialise in the servicing, diagnosis and repair of premium European vehicles including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar and Volvo.
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Automotive Technician (Motor Mechanic) to join our growing workshop on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing passenger motor vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out engine, transmission, suspension, steering and braking system repairs.
- Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Inspecting vehicles and identifying repair requirements.
- Testing vehicles following repairs to ensure safe operation.
- Maintaining accurate service records and completing job cards.
- Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and workplace safety requirements.
- Working collaboratively with the workshop team to deliver high quality customer service.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).
- Demonstrated experience as an Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Experience working on European vehicles will be highly regarded but is not essential.
