Full Job Description

Illawarra Support Solutions are seeking a positive, team-orientated, and friendly individual with a passion for technology. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and build a career in the audio-visual and IT industry.

The Role

As a Junior AV/IT Technician, you will work closely with a senior installer to deliver, install and configure audio-visual and IT systems at customer sites. Your role will include a diverse range of tasks – from simple TV installation and set-up to data transfers and device diagnostics. You will also have the opportunity to grow into an independent AV Installer/ Technician, managing installations on your own. We offer on-the-job training and provide all the tools and equipment required for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Accompany and support the primary Field Service Technician in their duties when travelling to and on site.
Assist in the delivery, installation, and configuration of equipment or systems at customer sites.
Perform initial diagnostics of devices.
Assist in providing instructions and support to customers.
Be responsible for site maintenance including clearing rubbish and packaging from installation sites and ensure all sites are left in presentable position.
Provide IT support and troubleshooting.
Other responsibilities as per business requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will:

Have experience (or a genuine desire to learn skills) in technical home installations and IT support.
Be able to perform basic troubleshooting.
Have strong communication and customer service skills.
Be proactive and able to take on challenges.
Have excellent time management.
Hold a current driver's license.
Hold a current white card.
Have had a Police check in the last 12 months.
