Full Job Description

A full time position exists for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, based at Unanderra. You will be working on a variety of Kenworth and Western Star Trucks plus Drake and Smith Trailers.

The Role

Monday to Friday with overtime.
Schedule servicing of Trucks and Trailers – Kenworth and Western Star Trucks, including K200 cab overs, C509, C510 and Western Star Big Foots, Drake Floats & Trailers, and Smith Tippers (Side and End).
Based at Unanderra with Site work @ 21 Area BlueScope.
Ability to problem solve and work outside the box especially with breakdowns and larger projects as required.
Organisation skills with the ability to control parts stock.
Create and update job cards and servicing documents.
Working individually or within a team.
Positive attitude to Work, Health and Safety and the environment.

Skills

Trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel mechanic (essential)
Drivers Licence (HR an advantage but not essential)
Forklift Licence (an advantage, will be provided)
Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Basic computer skills. (training provided)
