Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as Collections officer you will:
- Respond to and address customer care complaints to minimize the adverse impact on the collection process.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders (Revenue NSW) and foster effective working relationships that will support collection strategies.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the collection process and Strategic Business Plan objectives to support the effective performance of the position.
- Identify and refer to the Team Leads, Collections any potential issues or problems with Collections Operations to ensure that they are promptly addressed.
- Review and contact customers to assist with resolution of unpaid policies as required
- Participate in all relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice.
- Monitoring and managing debtors’ accounts within targets, including, pre-emptive management of high-risk clients and collection of all premiums overdue/due and payable.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, industry codes, company policies, procedures, and customer satisfaction standards.
- Deliver high-quality customer service experience and manage expectations in a sensitive, open and respectful manner.
Skills & Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of products and programs in the insurance industry.
- Experience in credit and collections management
- Business administration (or related) qualifications or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through practical experience
