Companion Care Workers (Casual) – Make a Real Difference Every Day

About the Role

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable, and people-focused Companion Care Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis across Maitland, Morpeth, Thornton, Rutherford, Raymond Terrace and/or Swansea Belmont.

This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful connections while empowering clients to remain independent and engaged in their community.

What you’ll be doing:

Providing friendly companionship and emotional support
Assisting with light domestic duties (cleaning, vacuuming, laundry)
Preparing meals and helping with grocery shopping
Supporting social participation, including transport to appointments and outings
Delivering care that respects each client’s individuality, values, and cultural background
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and support networks

This role would also be suitable for someone who can work school hours but not mandatory.

What We’re Looking For

You are someone who genuinely cares and takes pride in making a positive impact in people’s lives.

To be successful, you will have:

A positive, compassionate, and reliable approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence in working independently and adapting to different needs
Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
Sound literacy and numeracy skills

(High School/Senior Certificate is desirable but not essential.)
