About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable, and people-focused Personal Care Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis across Maitland, Morpeth, Thornton, Rutherford, Raymond Terrace and/or Swansea Belmont.
This role suits individuals who are confident in delivering personal care and supporting clients across a range of services, including domestic assistance, social support, and manual handling (including hoisting where required).
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living (e.g. personal hygiene, showering, toileting, dressing, mobility, and nutrition)
- Supporting clients with safe mobility and transfers, including use of manual handling equipment where required.
- Providing light domestic assistance (e.g. cleaning)
- Respecting each client’s individual values, beliefs, and cultural preferences.
This role would also suit someone who can work school hours but not mandatory.
What We’re Looking For
You are someone who genuinely cares and takes pride in making a positive impact in people’s lives.
Qualifications (one of the following required):
- Certificate III in Individual Support,
- Certificate III in Aged Care,
- Certificate III in Home and Community Care,
- Enrolled nursing students, or
- Assistants in Nursing (AIN)
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current First Aid and CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Criminal History Check (Police Check)
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 6 months’ experience as a Personal Care Worker (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
