About the role

The Victoria Hotel Horsham is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of exceptional cuisine in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant environment. This is a full-time position based in Horsham, VIC 3400.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
Supervising and training kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards
Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene regulations
Contributing to the overall success and smooth operation of the restaurant

What we're looking for

Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Chef in a similar high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
Excellent working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
Strong time management, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable dining experiences
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen
Understanding of food safety, health and hygiene regulations
