About Us

Capital Community Care Pty Ltd, trading as Slice of Heaven Ageing and Disability Care, provides person-centred disability and community support services to clients requiring assistance with daily living, personal care, mobility, social participation, and independent living support.

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in Ormeau and the surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide direct support to clients in their homes and community settings. You will assist clients to maintain independence, dignity, safety, and participation in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

assisting clients with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and grooming;
supporting clients with mobility, transfers, and daily activities;
preparing meals and assisting with food-related daily living tasks;
performing domestic support tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and household assistance;
accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community participation;
providing companionship, friendship, and emotional support;
assisting with shopping, errands, and transport where required;
following individual care plans, NDIS support plans, and workplace policies;
maintaining accurate care notes and reporting incidents or changes in client needs;
supporting clients in a respectful, safe, and person-centred manner.

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants must have:

Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or equivalent; or
at least 1 year of relevant experience in disability support, aged care, personal care, or community support;
experience assisting clients with personal care and daily living support;
good communication and interpersonal skills;
ability to work respectfully with vulnerable clients;
ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Reliability and flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends where required.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:

NDIS Worker Screening Check
National Police Check;
First Aid and CPR certificate;
unrestricted driver's licence and access to reliable transport, if required for community access supports;
right to work in Australia.

Award / Employment Conditions

Employment will be in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA000100], applicable employment laws, and the National Employment Standards.
