The Agrarian Kitchen is seeking a passionate and skilled Gardener to join our dedicated team in New Norfolk, just 30 minutes from Hobart. Our one-acre garden grows an array of vegetables, fruits, and flowers, supplying our restaurant, cooking classes, and kiosk. We focus on producing exceptional quality while exploring innovative, environmentally friendly practices.
Hours of Work:
Wednesdays to Saturdays 8am to 4pm
Must be flexible with working hours, depending on seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of our productive garden.
Ensure the garden remains organised and tidy.
Engage in nursery and propagation work.
Manage a variety of horticultural tasks, including annual and perennial vegetable cultivation, fruit care, and ornamental plant management.
Handle management of waste through a multi-stage composting system.
Lead guided tours, showcasing the garden to groups and guests.
Assist with garden classes and seasonal seedling sales.
Harvest and deliver produce to the restaurant, cooking classes, and kiosk with attention to detail.
